Dr. Rahil Chaudhary

Dr. Rahil Chaudhary has travelled extensively across Korea, Japan, China, Singapore, Switzerland, Ireland, USA and Germany to study advanced eye care practices, refractive surgery trends and emerging ophthalmic technologies.

His international learning goes beyond attending conferences. He has visited leading refractive surgery centres across South Korea to understand why ICL has become the preferred vision correction procedure over LASIK and observed exclusive centres dedicated solely to ICL surgery. In Japan, he studied the country’s ICL-first approach by visiting renowned eye centres and interacting with pioneers of ICL surgery, including one of the early leaders who helped establish the procedure in Japan. In China, he explored the growing burden of high myopia and the widespread adoption of ICL technology for vision correction.

Dr. Chaudhary has also visited world-leading ophthalmic technology and manufacturing facilities, including Swiss Advanced Vision (Switzerland), Biotech Vision Care (Ireland), Alcon (Ireland) and the Alcon WaveLight manufacturing facility (Germany). These visits provided first-hand insight into the research, development, engineering and quality standards behind modern refractive and cataract surgery technologies, while also allowing him to contribute to discussions on future innovations.

This global exposure enables him to offer treatment planning that is not limited to a single machine or technique, but is based on international best practices, the latest evidence and experience gained from some of the world’s leading refractive surgery centres and technology developers.
