Dr. Deepak Kumar Gupta is a Senior Consultant at Eye7 Chaudhary Eye Centre, Lajpat Nagar and Specialist in Refractive Surgery, Cataract, Advanced Phacoemulsification, Microphaco, Paediatric Cataract Surgery, Glaucoma and Squint. Formerly he was Principal Consultant and h.o.d at Ophthalmology Department at Fortis Hospital Ludhiana for more than three and half years before shifting to Delhi. He was also Chief Consultant, Centre for Sight, Ludhiana Branch for more than three years. He did his Graduation from Patiala and Post-Graduation with Distinction and Gold Medal from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal. He also did Fellowship In Phacoemulsification from Eye Research Centre, Chennai.
He has more than twenty years of vast Experience In Phaco Surgery, Glaucoma Surgery, Squint Surgery and he has been doing Refractive Surgery since 2011. He has multiple firsts to his Credit viz. He was the first person to Intralase in Ludhiana, first icl, first Crystallens-hd, first Symfony Implant, First Symfony Toric Implant in his home town. Very Recently he did his first Panoptic iol,(the latest ultra premium presbyopia correcting iol )of Punjab. He is the first Person In India to demonstrate live surgery on Facebook…where a microscope signal [surgeon’s view] was Transmitted and watched live by friends and colleagues across the globe.
He has Multiple Presentations at National and International level. Many times he has been invited as Guest Faculty at various Conferences and CME programmes for eye surgeons.
He is also I.I.R.S.I GOLD MEDAL AWARDEE for outstanding work in the field of Ophthalmology. He has been the Organizing Secretary of one North zone, two state level conferences and three state level Phaco workshops apart from large number of C.M.E. Meetings. He is Happily Married with three Children.
